The barbell bar is a kind of fitness equipment which can be used for competitions and home fitness. There are usually Straight Barbell Bar and curved barbell bar. In general, it can also be divided into weightlifting bar and Powerlifting Bar. There are also other kinds of barbell bars such as Deadlift Bar, strength training bars, pull up bar, heavy duty strength training pull-up bar, fitness equipment straight bar, snatch weightlifting bar etc.

Weightlifting bar VS Power Lifting Bar:

The Weightlifting Barbell Bar is designed for the clean & jerk and snatch Olympic weightlifting competitions. It has a smaller diameter (28mm) and has more elastic energy storage.

The powerlifting barbell bar is designed for athletes to perform heavy squats, bench presses and deadlifts. It feels hard and does not store elastic energy. The diameter is also thicker (29mm) than the weightlifting barbell bar.

The barbell bar diameter has 1inch and 2 inch in imperial barbell bar dimensions and 25mm, 27mm, 28mm, 29mm, 30mm, 35mm, 50mm in metric barbell bar diameter.

The barbell bar length is usually 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.8m and 2.2m in metric length and 4 foot, 5 foot, 6 foot and 7 foot barbell bar imperial length.

Olympic Barbell bar
